Is it permissible to sell a fava bean field while it is in the flowering stage, i.e., before the fruit appears?

It is not permissible to sell grains, fruits, and legumes until their ripeness becomes apparent, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the sale of fruits before their ripeness becomes apparent. An exception to this is if the buyer harvests the beans immediately, such as if he buys them as fodder for livestock. If it is beneficial at that time, then its sale is permissible. However, if the buyer intends to keep it until its growth is complete, then it is not permissible until the pods appear and harden.
