Is a journalist who writes on the crime page considered a sinner and subject to the threat of the noble verse: (Indeed, those who like that immorality should spread among those who believe will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know); because he exposes people and does not conceal their faults?

Merely loving the spread of indecency and evil acts in Muslim society is a crime and a grave sin, for which Allah has promised its perpetrator torment in this world and the Hereafter, as He (the Exalted) says: "Indeed, those who like that indecency should be spread among those who have believed - they will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter." This is due to the corruption it causes in society and the harm it inflicts upon Muslims. And whoever actually practices the spread of indecency, their crime is greater. If what the journalist writes includes the spread of evil acts, or slandering chaste women, or harming Muslims, and seeking out their private faults, then it falls under the aforementioned threat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade harming Muslims and seeking out their private faults, emphasizing that the sanctity of a believer is greater to Allah than the sanctity of the Kaaba.
