How can the evil eye overcome destiny, even though Allah has ordained for every creature what will be, and preserved it in the Preserved Tablet, as stated in the hadith: "Yes, if there was anything that could precede destiny, the eye would precede it"?

The hadith (definition), "The evil eye is real, and were there anything to precede divine decree, the evil eye would precede it," confirms the powerful effect of the evil eye. However, this effect does not fall outside Allah's decree, for the evil eye is part of Allah's preordainments which He, glory be to Him, has written. The hadith exaggerates in affirming the effect of the evil eye to dispel any doubt about its influence, and it clarifies that everything that befalls a person is by Allah's preordainment and His prior knowledge, and nothing can precede Allah's judgment.
