Is it permissible to collect stamps that have images of living beings on them and to trade in them for investment purposes?

Collecting stamps as a hobby is permissible, provided they are free from Sharia violations such as images of humans, animals, and symbols of disbelief, and that time is not wasted on them in futility. As for collecting them with the intention of buying and selling, it is not permissible because it is a waste of money, and it may reach the point of extravagance and squandering.
