What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding the stance of a father who compels his son to live with him, despite the son's wife's rejection of this and the existence of a prior condition for her to have an independent dwelling?

It is not obligatory for a son to house his father with him in his home, nor does he have the right to force his wife to accept cohabiting with his father in one house. She has the right to an independent dwelling, whether stipulated in the marriage contract or not. No one has the right to compel her to do so. This is the view of the majority of jurists.
