Is it permissible for a girl to wear the niqab despite her father's refusal and his threat to disown her?

We advise you to strive in convincing your father so that he may consent to your wearing the niqab. However, if he insists on refusing and threatens to disown you if you wear it, then there is no blame upon you for leaving it off until Allah makes ease for you in your matter.
