Is it permissible for Muslims not to celebrate Eid due to the tragic events in Palestine and the feelings of sadness and grief over them?

Islamic holidays are a ritual and an act of worship in which Muslims express joy and happiness. This is one of the rituals of the religion and does not contradict the sadness and pain felt due to what afflicts Muslims. Thus, a Muslim combines expressing joy on Eid, in glorification of the religion, with sorrow for the pains of his brethren, and minimizes excessive amusement as his awareness of his brethren's suffering increases.
