Are the post-prayer remembrances recited immediately after the obligatory prayer, or after performing the regular Sunnah prayer?

The general rule regarding tasbih (glorification of God) and the dhikr (remembrance of God) prescribed after prayers is that they should be recited immediately after the obligatory prayer. The apparent meanings of the noble hadiths support this, including the hadiths narrated by Thawban and Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah. Al-Albani mentioned that the dhikr should be recited immediately after the obligatory prayer, regardless of whether there is a supererogatory sunnah prayer to follow it or not.

Accordingly, the correct approach is to recite the adhkar immediately after the obligatory prayer and before the supererogatory sunnah prayer, if one exists. It should be noted that the sunnah prayer of Fajr is performed before its obligatory prayer. If someone forgets the adhkar or becomes preoccupied and then recites them before a long separation occurs, they will receive the full reward. Otherwise, they will miss the complete reward but will still receive the reward for general dhikr.
