Will one who dies young be judged the same as one who dies old, knowing that the young person might be in a phase of recklessness, unlike the old person whose intellect has matured, whose good deeds have multiplied, and who has repented to Allah?

Long life increases Allah's proof against His servant. And he who reaches sixty years of age has been given an excuse by Allah, meaning he no longer has an excuse for not doing what he has been commanded. Allah's grant of respite to His servant until old age is an excuse for him, because after that, only weakness remains. This does not mean that one who dies young is exempt from accountability. Rather, he whose life is long and whose deeds are good is the best of people, and he whose life is long and whose deeds are bad is the worst of people. Mentioning probabilities of lifespans is of no avail, for Allah knows best the conditions of His servants and His wisdom in distributing provisions and lifespans.
