What is the ruling on a girl watching a man on television?

It is permissible for a woman to look at the face, hands, and extremities of a non-mahram man, as long as there is no suspicion (ريبة), whether with the naked eye or via television. Ibn Battal indicated the permissibility of a woman looking at a man without suspicion. However, a woman must be careful not to indulge in looking at forbidden images broadcast on television.
