Is the act of some students drinking half bottles of mineral water and rolling the other half with their feet like a ball a form of contempt for this great blessing?

The Prophet's Sunnah permits jesting with a small amount of food. However, playing with water and kicking it with the foot, as depicted in the mentioned picture, involves a form of disrespect for Allah's bounty, wastefulness of money, and extravagance. Scholars have disapproved of disrespecting bread, throwing it underfoot, or wiping hands or knives with it, as this is a form of degradation and a violation of the general prohibition against wasting money. They cite the Hadith "Honor bread," which Al-Suyuti and Al-Albani graded as hasan (good).
