What is the ruling on laughing at food, mocking it, and belittling Allah's blessings?

The young men who mocked the elderly man after he honored them committed a forbidden act, for they did not thank one who was good to them. This contradicts gratitude to Allah. They must repent from their mockery and seek the man's forgiveness for the harm they inflicted, because whoever has wronged his brother should seek his forgiveness today, before there are neither dinars nor dirhams.
