How can the Hadith of Jabir's father, "Indeed, they will not return to it," be reconciled with the return of Ezra and Jesus's (peace be upon him) resurrection of the dead by Allah's permission?

The noble Hadith and other texts indicate that Allah Almighty has decreed that the dead will not return to this world permanently before the Day of Resurrection. However, there are other texts that point to the temporary return of some of the dead to this worldly life for great wisdoms, among them to affirm the resurrection and to demonstrate Allah's power. The exegetes have mentioned that these extraordinary instances of bringing the dead back to life in this world, such as the story of the slain man of Banu Israel, the story of those who left their homes in their thousands, the story of the one who passed by a desolate village, and the story of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) with the birds, are signs and proofs of Allah's power to resurrect and the physical resurrection on the Day of Judgment. These extraordinary instances do not contradict the general resurrection which will only occur on the Day of Judgment.
