Is crying when a tribulation descends or during it considered a lack of patience with Allah's decree and destiny? And should the afflicted person answer a question posed to him if it contains things he did not intend? And how does a person reach the rank of contentment with painful decrees, and what is the reward for him?

Weeping when afflicted with a calamity does not contradict patience, as long as it is not accompanied by wailing or lamentation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wept, and his companions wept, and many hadiths attest to this. It is also permissible for the afflicted person to speak about their condition for a valid reason, not for complaining, though concealing it is more complete. To reach the station of contentment (rida), there must be true reliance (tawakkul), submission (tasleem), and delegation (tafweedh), for contentment is among the high stations. The reward for one who is content with Allah's decree is immense; it is akin to that of a mujahid, and contentment is considered the pinnacle of faith.
