Can a Muslim man marry a European or Christian woman?

Allah has permitted marriage to believing women and forbidden marriage to polytheistic women because they invite to the Fire. He made an exception for women of the Scripture due to their shared beliefs with Muslim women in some doctrines. He conditioned the permissibility of marrying them on their being chaste and virtuous. It is preferable for a Muslim man to marry a Muslim woman to raise children upon Islam and to avoid the influence of women of the Scripture on them, and because the majority of women of the Scripture—especially European women—do not adhere to their religion or are not chaste. It is advised not to marry them except out of extreme necessity, due to the corruption and problems that result from it. The danger is amplified in marrying Jewish women due to their use in espionage and evil against Muslim societies.
