The answer

Zakat is not obligatory on money unless it reaches the nisab (minimum threshold) and a full lunar year (hawl) has passed over it. The nisab is approximately equivalent to 85 grams of pure gold, or 595 grams of pure silver. Partnership does not affect money, except in the case of pasturing livestock. Therefore, partners are not required to combine their wealth; rather, each one pays Zakat on his share if it reaches the nisab. If the share of each of you does not reach the nisab, then Zakat is not obligatory.
