Is the defense of religion and its inviolable sanctuaries restricted to scholars and students of sacred knowledge, or does it include every Muslim, even if they are unlettered?

Supporting and defending the religion and its bearers is the responsibility of every Muslim, and is not exclusive to a particular group. Every Muslim is obligated to do so within their capacity and ability. However, a Muslim must not speak about what they do not know or delve into what they are not skilled in, under the pretext of supporting the religion, for its harm would outweigh its benefit. Ibn Taymiyyah stated that whoever speaks without knowledge in matters of religious law or intellect, or attempts to support the religious law with flawed intellects, may embolden atheists against the religion.
