How much did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, eat in a day, and what was his manner of eating? What was his clothing, peace and blessings be upon him? Did he wear trousers or a shirt with sleeves only to the middle of his forearms? Was the length of his garment to the middle of his shins? How can we follow this Sunnah in our current era without being subjected to ridicule? Is the Sunnah for the garment to be above the ankles, even slightly, or exclusively to the middle of the shins? Is one who lengthens his garment below the ankles sinful absolutely, or only if he does so out of arrogance and pride? Is the statement of Imam Al-Nawawi, regarding the reprehensibility (karahah tanzihiyyah) for one who wears a garment below the ankles, correct?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not specify a set number of meal times in his guidance. Rather, he would eat what was available, and if he found nothing, he would be patient. He would eat with his three fingers and lick them after finishing. He would mention Allah's name at the beginning of his meal and praise Him at the end with various supplications. As for his clothing, peace and blessings be upon him, he used to wear a turban and a skullcap, and the thobe (long shirt), which was the garment he loved most. He also wore a jubbah (outer garment) and an izaar (waist wrapper). It is mentioned that he bought trousers, but the narration regarding this is weak. He warned against letting the izaar and thobe hang below the ankles, whether it was a garment, an izaar, or trousers.
