Why do the abrogated verses remain part of the Qur’an, knowing that the words of Allah never end, and can these verses be relied upon with new converts to Islam?

"Allah has profound wisdom in establishing what He wills and abrogating what He wills, and in establishing the wording of what He wills while abrogating its ruling. Among the wisdoms behind preserving the wordings of some verses whose rulings have been abrogated is for servants to worship Allah by reciting them and to recall Allah’s favor upon them in terms of alleviation, mercy, and the wisdom of gradualism."
