Must a wife endure her husband spending all his money on his family, even though she is in a foreign land? And is it true that a house in Paradise is more important than a house in this world for his family? And is a husband entitled to compel his wife to give up her right to his family, even if they have wronged her?

If the husband spends reasonably, the wife has no right to object to his spending on his mother and siblings, for honoring one's mother and maintaining ties with siblings are signs of goodness and righteousness. This spending is among the best acts of devotion that increase sustenance. Building a home for the children is also a righteous act, and a person must provide housing for himself and for those whose support is incumbent upon him, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him, to Sa'd: "It is better for you to leave your inheritors wealthy than to leave them dependent, begging from people." The wife can gently and wisely advise her husband to balance his spending on his family with saving money for his home and children. Among the good manners of a wife is her kindness to her husband's family, overlooking their mistakes, and helping him to honor his parents and maintain kinship ties, which increases his love and respect for her. It is not the husband's right to compel his wife to overlook the injustices of his family, but forgiving the wrongdoer is among the best deeds.
