Is it permissible to work in a hospital despite what is heard about it?

A woman's work is permissible in Islamic law. It may even be recommended or obligatory if the woman herself or society is in need of it, such as her working as a doctor or a teacher for women. However, certain conditions apply to her work: she must adhere to the prescribed Islamic dress (hijab), avoid intermingling or private seclusion with non-mahram men, and ensure that her work does not lead to negligence in other duties, such as raising children or caring for parents. If there is no need for her to work, or if Muslims do not require that particular job, then it is preferable for her to remain in her home and spend her time in worship, obedience, reading, learning, and inviting women to Allah.
