What is the ruling on one who contributed financially to an abortion operation to cover up adultery, while unaware of the impermissibility of abortion?

Participation in aborting a fetus after its formation and the blowing of the soul into it is a grave sin, because it is the killing of an innocent soul and cooperation in sin and aggression. However, if the participant was unaware of its prohibition, they are not held accountable for it, except that blood money (diyya) is binding upon them due to their participation in causing it. Ibn al-Hajib mentioned that if those who caused and those who directly committed the killing participated, all of them would be killed.
