What is the ruling on using hacking features (hacks) in online games to gain advantages that are usually acquired by paying real money? And is there sin in that, especially since it is undesirable on the game's platform?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
It is not permissible to infringe upon people's rights and hack their sites for gaming or other purposes, because that involves betrayal and usurpation of rights without permission and consent, citing the saying of Allah Almighty: {And do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors} and {And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly}. It is also not permissible to purchase a forbidden feature or one that contains something forbidden, even if compensation is paid for it.
