What is the ruling on the prayer of someone who inserts cotton into his urethra due to the prolonged cessation of urine after relieving himself, and is his prayer valid in such a state?

If a person inserts cotton into his urethra, his ablution is not nullified unless all or part of the cotton comes out. If the cotton comes out moist, the ablution is nullified. If it comes out dry, there are two views: either the ablution is nullified, which is the view some scholars have authenticated, or it is not nullified, which is the madhhab (school of thought) according to others. As for merely inserting the cotton without it coming out, this does not nullify ablution. His prayer is valid as long as no urine seeps from the cotton to the outside or a visible tip of the cotton remains.
