What is the ruling on complaining about an unjust father who does not provide for his children, despite being well-off?

A father must spend reasonably on his wives, his young children, and his unmarried daughters. He sins if he fails to do so. It is not permissible to take his case to court until all avenues of advice and reconciliation have been exhausted, while still being obligated to honor and respect him.
