A menstruating woman is permitted to bathe and swim during her menstrual period. However, she is not allowed to swim in a public pool if doing so would contaminate it with blood, as this spoils the water and harms users, and due to the prohibition against polluting places used by people. She is allowed to swim in a private pool.
