Is the commission received from paint and tools stores and from workers who do maintenance permissible or forbidden?

It is impermissible to accept commissions and gifts designated for the employer without their permission, because these are their right and are considered a reduction in price that belongs to the buyer (the employer). Similarly, gifts from sellers are considered an increase in price attached to the contract. It is also impermissible to accept gifts from employees except with the employer's permission, because these are offered in anticipation of favoritism, and Islamic law has prohibited gifts to workers to close this door, especially those given for the sake of work and position, not for the person of the employee.
