Is the fast of a patient valid after general intravenous anesthesia for a surgical procedure during the daytime in Ramadan, and is the physician sinful as a result of anesthetizing the patient?

Anesthesia does not invalidate the fast unless it covers the entire day, and neither the patient nor the doctor is sinful for it. However, it is preferable to avoid it during the day. Surgical operations not involving the body cavity do not affect fasting. As for operations involving the body cavity, it is more prudent to postpone them until night if possible, to avoid scholarly disagreement.
