Is what is happening in Egypt, regarding a husband abstaining from his wife on the wedding night under the pretext of "al-ribat" (binding) or "al-marboot" (bound), correct, and does this require anything to undo this binding?

It is not necessarily true that every sexual weakness or impotence is caused by magic (sihr), but it can happen that a person is bewitched to be prevented from his wife, as Allah mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 102. To get rid of this, one must use the legitimate incantations by reciting Ayat al-Kursi, Al-Fatiha, the verses of magic, and Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. One can also seek the help of a righteous reciter (qari’) to recite these surahs over water for the patient to drink and wash with, or to recite and blow upon the patient directly.
