What is your advice to a committed wife who wishes to complete her Sharia studies and memorize the Quran, but whose husband refuses to support her financially and morally in this, while he is preoccupied with dawah outside the home and neglects the care of his family? Is it permissible for her to request a monthly allowance for herself and her children from him?

The husband must fulfill the condition agreed upon at the time of marriage regarding the wife's completion of her studies, for "the conditions most worthy of fulfillment are those by which you made intercourse lawful" (a saying attributed to the Prophet Muhammad), unless the condition contradicts the Book of Allah. He is not obligated to cover her study expenses unless the wife stipulated that to him.

Regarding the time spent with the wife, the husband must balance his da'wah (preaching/inviting to Islam) duties with the rights of his wife and children. He should prioritize himself, then his household.

As for the wife's feeling of hatred, it is a result of the husband's neglect of her, and it will disappear when the cause is removed. The wife should also make a lot of supplication.

Regarding maintenance, the husband is obligated to provide maintenance for his wife and children before his brothers. If he does not provide for her appropriately, she may take from his money what suffices her and her child without extravagance.
