What is the authenticity of the exegesis attributed to Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the verse: "Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety" (Qur’an 49:3) – that it refers to those who desire sin but do not act upon it?

Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, was asked about who is better: he who does not desire disobedience and does not commit it, or he who desires it but does not commit it. He replied that those who desire it but do not commit it are "those whose hearts Allah has tested for piety; for them is forgiveness and a great reward." This narration is weak because Mujahid did not hear from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him.
