Should money of dubious origin be included in the calculation of the Zakat threshold, or must it be disposed of before calculating the threshold?

Forbidden wealth is not subject to zakat (definition) because, in Islamic law, it does not truly belong to its possessor. As for wealth that is questionable, the fundamental principle is its permissibility, and its zakat is valid if its owner considers it part of his wealth. However, if its owner disposes of it by spending it on the poor, the needy, or public interests, then it exits his possession and is not included in the calculation of the zakat threshold (nisab (definition)).
