"If the question is about the year of the revelation's descent upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, then the revelation descended upon him after he reached the age of forty, specifically on the night of Monday, the twenty-first of , corresponding to August 10, 610 CE.
And if the question is about the year of the Hijra and the establishment of the Islamic state, then it was approximately twelve years after the revelation's descent, i.e., the year 622 CE."
