Is it permissible to delay the "Tahiyat Al-Masjid" (greeting of the mosque) until after the prayer?
If the congregational prayer (Salat) has been called, the "Tahiyat al-Masjid" (greeting of the mosque) prayer is not prescribed, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When the prayer is established, there is no prayer except the obligatory one." Nor is it prescribed to perform it after the obligatory prayer, because the greeting of the mosque is achieved by performing the obligatory prayer or the regular supererogatory (ratibah) prayer, as the purpose of the greeting is to occupy the space, and this has already occurred.
