What is the ruling regarding an amount of 500 Riyals found in a store frequented by many people, and no one has inquired about it?

The lost item must be publicized for one lunar year by any possible means. If its owner comes forward, it should be handed over to him. If he does not come forward, it is permissible to utilize it after the year has passed, with the obligation to hand it over to its owner whenever he appears. It is not permissible to utilize it before the passage of one year, based on the hadith of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him.
