Is the revocable divorce considered valid on 9/5/2023 when the husband utters it, or on 16/5/2023 when he informs his wife, and is the period from 29/3/2023 to 9/5/2023 sufficient for the 'iddah (waiting period) to end?

Reconciliation (raj'ah) is a right of the husband. He is permitted to take back his revocably divorced wife as long as she is within her waiting period ('iddah), even without her knowledge or consent, based on the Almighty's saying: "And their husbands have more right to take them back." Informing her of the reconciliation and having witnesses is recommended, but not obligatory.

The 'iddah of a divorced woman is three menstrual cycles if she menstruates, and three months if she is young, in menopause, or has not menstruated. The months considered are lunar months.

If the husband claims reconciliation during the 'iddah, his word is accepted. However, if he claims it after the 'iddah has ended and the wife denies it, then her word is accepted. Any dispute between the spouses in this regard should be referred to the Sharia court.
