Is a girl's rejection of a suitor with good qualities for the sake of associating with a less suitable person, despite her parents' opposition to the latter association, considered an ingratitude for blessings? And what should the girl do when she feels affection for the less suitable person and sees her Istikhara (guidance prayer) as positive, contrary to her parents' view?

A girl should accept a suitor who possesses good character and religious commitment, even if he is less fortunate in wealth, status, or beauty. She should also consult with people of sound judgment and experience, as Fatimah bint Qays did.

Not choosing someone who has every desirable quality is not ingratitude for blessings if the choice is based on the second person's superiority in religious commitment and character. However, this must be done with the parents' approval. It is not permissible for her to marry someone her parents reject, especially her father, as he is her guardian.

It must be emphasized that it is not permissible for a woman to have a relationship with a non-mahram man outside the bounds of marriage.
