Is it permissible to interrupt the prayer in order to change the prayer's location to a quieter place, or to check on one of the children?

It is not permissible to interrupt a fard (obligatory) prayer after commencing it, except for a legitimate Shar'i excuse, such as fear of harm to oneself, one's property, or others. Among the proofs for this is Allah's saying: "And do not invalidate your deeds" (Qur’an 47:33). As for a nafila (supererogatory) prayer, it is permissible to interrupt it after commencing it, even though it is disliked to do so without an excuse. One who intends to pray should seek a quiet place to perform their prayer.
