Is a truthful dream an indication of Allah's pleasure?

The fulfillment or non-fulfillment of a dream is not, by itself, sufficient evidence of Allah's pleasure or displeasure. The truthfulness of a dream is not exclusive to believers; the dreams of non-believers may also be true, but they are more frequent among believers, less frequent among the wicked, and rare among disbelievers. The dreams of prophets are all true, and the dreams of the righteous are predominantly true, while the dreams of others fall between truthfulness and mere jumbled dreams (adghath). A truthful dream is either a good tiding or a warning, and it is a sign of goodness and a glad-tiding from Allah. Therefore, whoever sees such a dream should thank Allah and increase their adherence to their religion, without arrogance or over-reliance [on the dream].
