Is it obligatory to return to Islam for one who has abandoned the obligatory prayers and the Friday prayer, and performed them under duress without reciting the Tashahhud?

Intentionally abandoning prayer, or one of its pillars like Al-Fatiha and the final Tashahhud, or one of its obligations like the first Tashahhud, is a grave sin and a major transgression. However, it does not lead to apostasy according to the majority of scholars. One must offer sincere repentance, diligently perform all five daily prayers at their prescribed times, strive for uprightness, frequently supplicate, associate with righteous people, attend religious knowledge gatherings, and maintain a good opinion of Allah.
