What is the ruling regarding someone who doubted the validity of a previous prayer, so he decided to make up five prayers, then prayed some of them and refrained from completing the rest, believing it to be a whisper (waswasah)? Must he complete the remaining prayers?

Whoever is obligated to make up a prayer but does not know which one it is, must pray all five daily prayers to clear their conscience with certainty. As for the person afflicted with whispered doubts (waswas), they should disregard these whispers and pay no attention to them. If their making up of those prayers stemmed from a mere illusion, then they must turn away from this waswas and not succumb to it. They did well by refraining from completing the make-up prayers and by turning away from the whispered doubts.
