Is the father religiously obligated to ensure that his daughter is Muslim? Will he be held accountable if his daughter does not embrace Islam due to her stubbornness or his death? Is it permissible to force one's wife to abort in order to avoid giving birth to a non-Muslim child? Do non-Muslim children enter Hellfire?

If the Christian wife openly professes atheism and denies the existence of God, then it is impermissible to remain married to her, due to Allah’s saying: "And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe." However, if she does not openly profess atheism, then she is Christian, even if she does not adhere to the rulings of her religion. She cannot be judged as an atheist merely based on suspicion, until she explicitly declares it or performs an act that indicates it. As for the daughter, she is Muslim because of her lineage to a Muslim father and because she is upon the pure nature (fitra). She must be taught Arabic and raised upon Islam, commanded to pray at the age of seven, disciplined for not praying at the age of ten, accustomed to fasting, and taught the manners and ethics of Islam, especially what relates to creed, hijab, and forbidden acts. Upon reaching puberty, she becomes responsible for her actions, and the father is only obligated to advise and guide, due to Allah’s saying: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another."
