How do I seek refuge from drowning and being crushed under a collapsing structure when they lead to martyrdom?

The reason for seeking refuge from being crushed by a falling object, drowning, falling from a height, and similar forms of death, even though they are considered pathways to martyrdom, is that death by these means comes suddenly. One might not be prepared by repentance or by fulfilling their obligations regarding rights and bequests. A person will be held accountable for the rights of others, even if they are a martyr. In Sahih Muslim, it is stated that a martyr is forgiven all sins except debt. For this reason, seeking refuge from sudden death has been legislated. Furthermore, sudden death increases the grief of the deceased's family.
