The answer

This act is forbidden for two reasons: First, envy () is treated with (Islamic incantation) or permissible medications that have a known tangible effect. Pouring lead has no known tangible effect and is not a form of ruqyah; thus, it is a type of minor (polytheism) and contrary to (monotheism). Second, this action is a practice of soothsayers and charlatans who seek assistance from jinn to reveal unseen matters, and it is precisely a form of soothsaying. Therefore, whoever has engaged in this must offer sincere repentance and resort to lawful incantations and morning and evening remembrances. Fasting for forty days for this purpose has no basis in Islamic law.
