What is the ruling on striking children under the ten years of age who make mistakes in memorizing the Quran, based on the Hadith "and strike them for it at ten"?

We advise the children's teacher—especially the Quran memorization teacher—to win their affection and love, because if they love him, they will obey him, and he will not need to resort to beating. Beating is not the only means of discipline; there are other methods such as a stern look, or threatening to inform the father, or depriving them of things they love. The teacher may not need to resort to beating, but if he does, the people of knowledge have permitted it with certain conditions.
