What is the ruling for one who doubts the number of circuits (ashwat) of the circumambulation (Tawaf) or the ritual walking (Sa'i)?

If there is doubt about the number of circumambulations (Tawaf) or the number of laps (Sa'i) while performing them, one must build upon the lesser, certain number, even if one predominantly suspects a greater number. However, if the doubt occurs after completing them, it should be disregarded and does not cause harm, by analogy with doubt concerning the number of rak'ahs in prayer after completing it.
