Being keen on earning a lawful livelihood and staying away from unlawful one is important. Despite the difficulty of this in our time, the door to the lawful has not been closed, and Allah has not burdened us with more than we can bear. The basic principle is that selling permissible and beneficial things and earning from them is lawful, even if the buyer uses them for unlawful purposes. The seller bears no sin as long as he does not intend to aid in the unlawful or directly engage in it.
