What is the religious ruling on the saying "May Allah hear from you"?

Among the beautiful names of Allah is "Al-Sami'" (The All-Hearing). The attribute of hearing for Him, the Exalted, is the perception of audible things, and it befits Him, the Glorified, and does not resemble the attribute of creation; as He, the Almighty, says: "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing." His hearing encompasses all sounds, an example of which is what happened with the woman who debated and complained to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and Allah heard her even though Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not hear her. So, Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "Certainly, Allah has heard the statement of she who disputes with you concerning her husband and complains to Allah. And Allah hears your discourse; indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing." Therefore, there is no harm in a person saying to another: "May Allah hear from you" (or "Allah hears you").
