Is it permissible to say "May my Lord hear it from you" when supplicating for someone?

The attribute of hearing is affirmed for Allah Almighty by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus. It is of two types: hearing of perception and encompassing, and hearing of response and acceptance. Allah Almighty hears every word and knows everything, and this is the hearing of encompassing. He responds to the supplication of whoever invokes Him, and this is the hearing of response. The saying of one who says "May Allah hear from you" means "May He respond to you," and there is no harm in this statement, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge from a supplication that is not answered.
