Is it commendable for a man to adorn himself for his wife by taking care of his physique, muscles, scent, clothing, the beauty of his beard and hair, the Sunan of Fitra, removing stretch marks, and treating repulsive diseases, in addition to his good manners, commendable jealousy, and religiosity?

Ibn Abbas said: "I adorn myself for my wife just as she adorns herself for me, and I do not like to take my full right from her, such that she would then demand her full right from me; because Allah the Almighty said: {And due to them [the wives] is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable}." Al-Qurtubi clarified that men's adornment varies according to their circumstances, times, and ages, and that it aims to please and satisfy the wife and keep her chaste. Among the agreed-upon forms of adornment are: perfume, miswak (tooth-cleaning stick), purification, nail clipping, in addition to dyeing (hair/beard) for elders and wearing a ring for everyone. A man must strive to keep his wife chaste by fulfilling her needs, and he may use medications to strengthen his ability if necessary.
